DIY Coffee Mugs

True life: I’m addicted to cute coffee mugs!

My solution to saving is to decorate the mugs myself. This DIY project is cheap and easy. They are also perfect for a holiday gift!

What you will need:

Step 1:

Start by decorating your mug with your favorite design or quote. If you mess up, you can wipe it off quickly.

Step 2:

Place mug in the oven and preheat to 350°F. Do not preheat oven prior to putting the mug in. This could result in cracking if it heats or cools too quickly. I find it easiest to place a baking sheet in first, then place the mug on that.

Step 3:

Set your timer for 30 minutes. Turn off the oven after that time is up. Allow mug to stay in the oven for another 30 minutes (or until it has cooled) until you remove it. Just to be safe, use an oven mit to remove mug.

Boom! You’re done. You can also do multiple mugs at once! If you have any questions, please post in the comments below. I would love to see what you created as well!

  1. Love this! I made everyone mugs for Mother’s Day this year, but I didn’t use the right market lol. I’ll definitely be trying this again.
