First Bites with Nuby

We started oatmeal with Baby Gray!! I wanted to share with y’all how it went and what we used.

These products were given in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own. In addition, this post contains affiliate links, which means I may receive a commission if you click a link and purchase something that I have recommended. My full disclosure can be found here.

This site evaluates the nutritional values of various foods and formulas. Thanks to a recommendation from my awesome friend, we went with Happy Baby, Happy Bellies Organic Oatmeal. To prepare, we mixed 2.5 scoops oatmeal with 1 scoop formula. Then I heated up 1.5 ounces of baby water and slowly mixed that in. Props to my girl Whitney, for figuring out the perfect proportions!

We used this Sure Grip Feeding Bowl! I love the texture of it. It’s 100% silicone, making it super easy to clean. This bowl has a suction at the bottom that will be great when Gray starts feeding himself.

Other Nuby silicone products we love include the 3D Silicone Bib and EZ Squee-z. The bib was perfect for how messy his first experience was. It is super easy to wipe off and it catches all the mess with the bottom scoop. The EZ Squee-z was fun to try as well. It is a soft silicone food dispenser with a bulb shaped feeding pouch at the end. This would be perfect for feeding on the go! We tried it with his oatmeal, but purées work best! I think it’s a great way to get them involved with their feedings.

Nuby has so many great feeding products to choose from. So far we are feeding Gray oatmeal once a day. He is really getting the hang of it and gets anxious for the next bite. We are excited to start purées soon! If you have any resources for homemade purées, please leave them in the comments below.

  1. I’m a few months off from introducing solids to my little girl but all of these products were already on my little girls Christmas list because they were so high recommended from other mommies! I LOVE the suction feature on that bowl! Now, is there any way I can have such a helpful neighbor like yours?
